Discharged Game Battery Replacement
Time kills the charge on a battery, especially in a small cartridge battery. When this happens, game players will lose their save data when a game battery dies. System Platforms Using Batteries
The majority of retro game platforms use a battery to hold the save data for cartridge games. The following platforms use a battery on their cartridges: Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis/Megadrive, Gameboy (Original, Color, Advance), and more.
Cell Battery Information
FillhartTech uses a new cell battery CR2025 or CR1616 to replace the old one on your PCB. These new batteries contain a positive and negative lead coming from the battery that is then soldered to the PCB of your game. The CR2025 cell battery is used in Gameboy and Gameboy Color games while the CR1616 is used in Gameboy Advanced games.
